Running a Youth Led Grant Panel

Setting up and running a Youth Led Grants panel is easy when you have a group of passionate young people and a little bit of guidance and support.

Our panels are given some key criteria they have to follow;

Projects they fund must:

  • Be ran by young people aged 14 -25
  • Support young people to volunteer
  • Benefit the community
  • Spend their money and report to WCVA by 31st March 2018

But the rest is up to them... which includes;

1. How the grant scheme is ran in their area
2. How the panel operates, from how often they met to how many members
3. How they promote the grant panel
4. How people apply for the funding
How people report on the funding

Some of the panels recently came together to share some ideas how about they could do things better and provided some top tips on the following

1. Where to promote the grant scheme
2. What to look for in new grant givers
3. Different ways to run their grant schemes

You can download these top tips soon!
