Working Groups

GwirVol has a number of working groups that look to support GwirVol to meet specific aims. Working groups are made up of GwirVol Partners, GwirForce members and representatives from other organisations that are interested in supporting this work. Below details our current working groups;

The Accreditation Working Group has developed GwirVol’s You Give You Get publication. The group will continue to review this publication and consider new submissions to it as well as how to evaluate the impact of the publication. Future work will include developing accreditation for the Millennium Volunteers Award. The group currently meets twice a year.

Millennium Volunteers:

The Millennium Volunteers Advisory Group meets to discuss and agree the strategic aims of the MV award. The members of the group are also the decision makers for applications to become Award Status MV delivery partners. The group meets three times a year.

Research and Evaluation:

The Research and Evaluation group considers how best to evaluate the work of GwirVol and to what extent we are achieving our aims. The group also considers and commissions research relating to youth volunteering which may inform our future work. Previous research has included ‘Young volunteers and the Job Centre Plus’ as well as research into the development of MV50 awards. The group meets two to three times a year.
