GwirVol stemmed from the Russell Commission report, March 2005 which set out a framework to increase the level of community participation by young people across the UK, to the point that volunteering becomes a common feature in their lives.

GwirVol aims to;

  • Increase the number and diversity of young people volunteering in Wales and;
  • Increase the number and quality of opportunities for young people to volunteer in Wales.
