Tim’s story…

I volunteered in the Oasis Coffee Bar at St Paul’s Methodist Church Centre, Aberystwyth for over 2 years. I really enjoyed it although sometimes it was very quiet and there wasn’t enough work to do. I made teas, coffees and sandwiches and served them to customers. I finished volunteering there in July 2009.

Alongside St Paul’s, I joined the team at the gardening centre at Llanerchaeron House, near Aberaeron. I’m looking forward to going back there in the warmer weather because I sometimes have problems with my joints in the winter.

In March 2009, I also started volunteering at Radio Bronglais. My role there is to check the hundreds of CDs that have been donated to the station to make sure that they are not damaged or unsuitable for broadcast. I thoroughly enjoy this job. I am also a very active member of the Radio Bronglais committee and I attend regular meetings.
